The new Ceridian Payroll Self-Service system became available.  Employee can access the system from any Internet-connected computer, including any one of the 10 dedicated workstations that are now available in the factory.  Employees can begin accessing the system immediately, although no earnings statements (pay checks) will be available until 12:01 a.m. this Thursday, January 5.

With the growing number of young workers, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers recognizes the importance of responding to the unique needs and expectations of people beginning their careers. The IAM has formed The Young Machinists as a working group within our union to ensure young members' concerns are addressed and they understand the benefits of working in a unionized workplace. Younger members often do not understand the value of their dues dollars and union membership. It is the mission of The Young Machinists to educate and motivate the younger generations to become involved in their union, community, and in politics. We carry the firm belief that moving the youth to become active in these areas will build a brighter future for everyone.
